Body Building

Some more sketches. Working on using less strokes to create a figure. Cleaner lines means better image. IMO. Enjoy :)

Break time sketches from Friday 11/5/10

Hello all! Well I have some more sketches to post. I seem to find more drive to draw when im at work, go figure heh. I work for a recycling company, we take old IT equipment (Monitors, PCs, TVs, Servers . . . . ) and well, recycle them. I work with a really cool group of people, we all get along pretty good. While taking in printers we have to make sure to remove the toners and paper. Cause we go through a ton of printers we have amassed a tower of copy paper. Every time I add a chunk of pulped fiber to the pile I drool at the thought of stickin it in a clip board and having my way with it hahaa.

so I did. I figured since I enjoy drawing more at work than on my free time (Weird, but its how it normally is for me) I plan on drawing during my breaks. These sketches are about 10 minutes of sketching what I can.
This is my bud Zack. I was sketching this from inside the warmth of Nes's car during the final break. I tried sketching him while he was smoking, but he kept moving. I think he knew what I was doing hehehehh. I felt I had a lot of open space left over so I did a quick portrait of him to fill the gap. I wanted to add a smoke in his mouth, but I think I highlighted it already.
I drew this during lunch. Normally youll find me listening to the news in my car while eating a bag lunch heh. This day I tried to draw a character named Achtotlacatl. Acht is a character ive been developing based of the story of Popocatepetl and Iztaccihuatl, as well as heavy influences by Robert E Howards Conan the Barbarian. I didnt like how the figure was turning out so I did a close up of the face.
This was the first sketch I did of the day. First break. I went and chilled with Nester in his car bumpin some music and enjoying life. I told him I was gonna sketch him so he held still for the most part heh. This sketch I used the entire 15 minute break to work on, where as the other two I kept it trimmed at 10 mins each.

Hope yall enjoy, Ill add some more soon!

Teutonic Knights Total War

While playing Medieval 2 Total War, I started sketching one of the loading screens of some Teutonic Knights. It stayed lingering around on my desk for a while, till I finally couldnt keep off of it the other day. I touched it up and fleshed it out a bit more while smoking in the cold garage. It reminds me of a painting by one of my favorite artists, Frank Frazetta.
